Robert Charles Lawrence "Bob/Bud" December 29, 1945 - January 10, 2025 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Charles Lawrence at the age of 79. Robert made his final transition the evening of January 10, 2025, succumbing to a sever bilateral stroke. Robert was born on December 29, 1945 in Pensacola, FL to Bob and Helen Lawrence. Robert is survived by his daughter Jennifer Bradek, sisters Cheryl Moore and Jan Lawrence, brothers Scott Lawrence and wife Michelle and Mark Lawrence and wife Colleen, nephews and nieces Troy Moore, Nila Moore (Kuzior) and husband Tim Kuzior, Christopher Lawrence and wife Beverly, Robert Lawrence, Danielle Lawrence, Marissa Lawrence (Han) and husband Jeff Han, and Michaela Lawrence. He was proceeded in death by his wife Patricia Lawrence, son Jamie Lawrence, parents Robert and Helen Lawrence, and brother-in-law Temple Moore. Following in his father's footsteps, Robert enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17. He served honorably as a Gunners Mate Technician for 21 years during which he completed several sea service deployments that included his combat service during the Vietnam War. Robert was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Four Good Conduct Awards. Robert attained and retired as a Non-Commission Officer Rank of E7 (Chief). Robert truly cherished and enjoyed all the times he spent with family at get-togethers for Birthdays, Holidays, and BBQ's. Just like his father, he was an avid golfer and bowler. Robert was a loyal bowling league member at Tenpins Bowling Alley in Rio Rancho, NM. Each week, he eagerly looked forward to spending those special times with his friends bowling on the league. Robert provided so much joy to his family and all his friends and has touched so many people's lives. Robert (Bob/Bud), will truly be missed and will continue to live in our hearts forever. A special message of thankfulness to Roberts friends, the family sincerely extends their heart felt gratitude for all the support and compassion during this difficult time. Military Honors will be held at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on February 28, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
