William (Bill) Hinkle Bill Hinkle of Albuquerque passed away suddenly on January 18, 2025, at the age of 87. Bill was raised in a lively household alongside his four brothers and sister by his parents, Reverend William and Mary (Trew) Hinkle. In college, he met Lin, his wife of 63 years, and together they built a life of love, faith, and adventure. They began their journey as schoolteachers before Bill pursued his Master's in Accountancy, launching a successful career that started at Ernst & Ernst and ultimately led to founding his own firm. Their path took them across six states, navigating challenges with resilience and faith. At their most difficult moments, God provided. Their life was a testament to Proverbs 3: 4-5 "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will direct your path." Bill had a playful side too. He loved horsing around with his kids - Sandy (Steve) Taylor, Michelle (Wally) Martin, and Beth (Armen) Hinkle - and later grandkids (Brandy, Spike, Morgan, and great-granddaughter Amelia), giving them rides, teaching them silly songs, and sharing endless laughs. But he didn't believe in letting anyone win easily, life lessons in perseverance and fair play were always part of the fun. Bill and Lin were partners in all aspects of life. They built a thriving business, raised three strong and independent daughters, and shared a love of tennis, golf, and later, bridge. Their teamwork and mutual respect were the foundation of a life well-lived and an example of what a strong relationship should be. Bill lived fully, leaving behind a legacy of wit, determination, and a love of competition. He was a loving husband, a fun father, a principled businessman, and a loyal friend. While his friends and family feel his absence deeply, they are comforted by countless memories. The family will have a celebration of life on February 8, 2025 at 11 am at Tramway Community Church (4800 Tramway Ridge Dr NE). Please come and share a story about Bill. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Samaritan's Purse (Disaster Relief) or Tramway Community Church in memory of Bill.
