Four New Secretaries Head Departments

SANTA FE The Senate on Tuesday unanimously confirmed four of Gov. Bill Richardson's nominees to head state agencies on social services and the environment.
Mary-Dale Bolson, secretary of the state Children, Youth and Families Department.
Ron Curry, secretary of the Environment Department.
Pamela Hyde, secretary of the Human Services Department.
Patricia Montoya, secretary of the Department of Health.
Bolson is principal of New Futures School in Albuquerque.
Curry has worked as an environmental consultant and served as deputy secretary of the Environment Department from 1991 to 1994.
Hyde is a Santa Fe resident who has worked as a health-care consultant and director of the Ohio Department of Human Services.
Montoya has experience as a nurse and an administrator for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
Bolson, Curry and Montoya each will earn $86,500 a year, while Hyde will earn $100,000.
The terms of the Cabinet secretaries retroactively took effect on Jan. 1.
