      SANTA FE— Republican incumbent Steve Pearce remains ahead of Democratic challenger Gary King in the 2nd Congressional District race, although King's position might have improved, a new Journal poll found.

      New Mexico probably needs about 250,000 doses of flu vaccine to meet the demand from high-risk people who want to be immunized, according to an estimate from the state Department of Health.
