Red, white and blue filled the Albuquerque International Sunport’s lobby on Friday as families and community members gathered to honor and welcome New Mexico’s veterans home from an Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

This year, 31 veterans were given an all-expenses-paid trip to the nation’s capital to see the monuments and memorials honoring those who sacrificed and served their country.
