Sunday: Four Sugar Land pitchers held Albuquerque to just one hit, a third-inning single by catcher Braxton Fulford, in defeating the Isotopes 7-0 in the finale of a six-game series at Constellation Field.
The Space Cowboys jumped on Isotopes Jack O’Laughlin for all seven of their runs, the most damaging blow a third-inning grand slam from Collin Price, as Sugar Land won the series 4-2.
After Monday’s travel day, the Isotopes will begin a six-game home series against the El Paso Chihuahuas on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
NOTES: Fulford extended his hitting streak to seven games, a stretch during which he’s slashing .500/.567/1.154. He also extended his on-base streak to 10 games. Sam Hilliard drew a walk and has reached base for nine straight games.
