Opinion: Update to op-ed editing policy
To our readers,
As you can see at the top of the page in bold, we are making our editorial policy more transparent.
We believe it is part of our mission and duty to fact-check everything submitted, as we do with our own work, to obtain the utmost accuracy and neutrality.
We also highly value transparency. In our ongoing efforts to seek and deliver that, we are highlighting our editorial policy, which includes giving authors an opportunity to review their submissions within our print deadline if we make any substantial changes.
We appreciate your input and want to continue to encourage all of you to send us opinion pieces when you feel the need to share additional perspectives or credible data with the public.
We want to keep on being respectful of all sides of any major issues, and we appreciate your participation, which ultimately helps us do that.
