7 Brew coffee chain to open second Albuquerque location

Expansion is brewing for a fast-growing drive-thru coffee chain.
7 Brew is getting ready to open its second Albuquerque location, at 3835 Coors NW, this week. The location will launch into business on Monday, but will celebrate with a ribbon cutting and remarks from 7 Brew Franchise Operator Ken Brock and Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce officials on Tuesday.
“We can’t wait to share our products with people on the West Side,” Brock told the Journal.
The coffee chain opened its first Albuquerque location — or “stand” as the company calls them — at 4331 Wyoming NE last year. With one in Rio Rancho and several others across the state, the new Coors stand will bring 7 Brew’s footprint in the state to seven total locations. Brock operates the locations in Rio Rancho and Albuquerque.
The 510-square-foot Coors stand is a modular unit built in a factory in Kansas and dropped onto the site roughly five months ago, Brock said. Opening the unit took a little longer than expected due to construction delays for the surrounding area, Brock said.
Surrounding the 7 Brew stand is a new development emerging on the corner of Coors and St. Josephs NW. A recently installed sign dubs the development “Oxbow Center.”
An Olive Garden is under development on the site, immediately next door to 7 Brew. The area is also being considered for a potential In-N-Out Burger.
“It has turned into a site that we think is going to be outstanding,” Brock said. “It’s going to be a lot of synergy and excitement in the area, and we are really happy to be part of it.”
