Colliers looks to expand presence in Santa Fe’s commercial real estate market
Two local brokers are joining forces to dig deeper into Santa Fe’s commercial real estate market.
The brokers, Jyl DeHaven and Kate Potter, belong to Colliers New Mexico-El Paso, a local agency of the global professional services and investment management company focused on commercial real estate. The local agency — which was established in 1985 and has 60 employees across four offices in Albuquerque, Las Cruces, El Paso and Santa Fe — is looking to create more of a presence in the Santa Fe market.
“New Mexico represents a stable, growing region, with the national labs, a burgeoning film industry, and many other strong economic partners, in addition to the worldwide draw that is Santa Fe,” said DeHaven in a statement.
DeHaven, vice president of Colliers New Mexico-El Paso, is based in Los Alamos and is involved in the Santa Fe community through service on local boards. In addition to established relationships in Santa Fe, DeHaven also brings experience in sustainability, urban planning and workforce development, according to a news release.
Potter, a senior associate broker with Colliers New Mexico-El Paso, is based in Albuquerque and has developed both local and global ties through years of experience leading regional projects in commercial real estate, architecture and design, and construction.
“Jyl (DeHaven) and I have a lot in common and a lot of shared interest,” Potter told the Journal. “Santa Fe, it’s a nice midway point for us.”
Potter said the two intend to collaborate with Santa Fe brokers and be a resource for commercial properties in Santa Fe as part of the expansion.
“There’s truly nothing like Santa Fe,” Potter said. “Its unique charm attracts people from all corners of the globe, and we’re excited to expand our footprint in the commercial real estate market here.”
