Ultra Health President and CEO Duke Rodriguez has been in the cannabis industry well over a decade now, and he's seen the good and the bad.
The legalization of recreational cannabis sales, made possible by the 2021 signing of the Cannabis Regulation Act, has also meant a lot of room for bad actors since the state doesn't cap the number of licenses in New Mexico.
Rodriguez joins the latest edition of the Business Outlook podcast to chat about what the illicit industry is, what it looks like and his thoughts on proposed legislation to add law enforcement to the state's Regulation and Licensing Department to go after operators acting illegally.
