The nonprofit Family Friendly New Mexico is accepting applications for its 2026 Family Friendly Business Award, which honors companies that are committed to workplace policies that support workers and their families.

The application opened Oct. 10 and submissions will be accepted through Feb. 28, 2026. Submissions can be completed online at nmfamilyfriendlybusiness.org. Organizers will host a luncheon honoring winners on April 30, 2026, at Sandia Resort & Casino.

It is the 11th year the organization has doled out the award to honor those who have implemented policies such as paid leave, health support, flexible work schedules, diversity and inclusion, and community engagement.

Taos Ski Valley this year was named a platinum-level awardee, the ski resort’s ninth straight year getting the recognition. Lori Rangel, the senior human resources manager, said being recognized by Family Friendly New Mexico “reinforces what we believe at our core, that when our staff and their families are supported, our whole community thrives.”

“In an outdoor industry where equity can be a challenge, especially for women, their resources and recognition encourage us to keep strengthening policies that allow our staff to balance work and family,” Rangel said. “This ensures everyone has the opportunity to contribute fully and bring their best selves to our mountain and our community.”
