Griff’s Hamburgers, 8516 Central Ave SE — FOOD
Griff’s Hamburgers announced on July 5 that they were closing the Albuquerque location the next day. The hamburger chain will keep its other locations in Texas and Louisiana open. The announcement said the restaurant was closing due to incidents that made it “unsafe and undesirable” to continue operating. The announcement said that Griff’s has not been able to make the improvements its “loyal customers in Albuquerque deserve.” The hamburger spot has been in Albuquerque for 60 years. The announcement said that Griff’s hopes to return to Albuquerque in the future.
