OpenTable recently released its Diners’ Choice restaurants for each state and has recognized three places in New Mexico.
The Diners’ Choice Awards are determined by where diners book, dine and review. Only verified diners can review restaurants on OpenTable, ensuring the data’s accuracy.
These three restaurants were the top-rated in New Mexico for their ambiance.
Check out what each restaurant brings to the table.
Ten 3 (Albuquerque)
Ten 3 provides customers with breathtaking views of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The menu ranges from international cuisine to New Mexican dishes, all made from scratch to highlight the unique flavors of the region. Guests can choose between a casual or fine dining experience. Casual dining is available for both lunch and dinner and does not require a reservation, while the fine dining option is dinner-only and requires a reservation.
The views are unmatched, with one diner saying, “This place was amazing. The sunset and the night view of the city lights couldn’t have been better for my wife and me. This doesn’t even mention the tram ride to the restaurant. Sit by a window at sunset, and you will not regret it.”
Izanami (Santa Fe)
Izanami brings Japanese izakaya, small plates meant for sharing, to New Mexico diners. The dishes are painstakingly prepared with an emphasis on seasonality and locally sourced meat, paired with some of the best sake in the West.
Izanami was also rated by OpenTable as one of the top 100 restaurants for outdoor dining in America. To ensure guests are comfortable in any weather, the restaurant provides heaters and blankets.
One guest raved not only about the restaurant’s ambiance but also the food, saying, “Positively delicious nigiri sushi, grilled avocado, sea bass in miso broth—and more. Terrific sake list. Relaxed vibes and attentive but not solicitous service.”
SkyFire Restaurant
Located at Bishop’s Lodge, the SkyFire Restaurant showcases Southwest cuisine at its best. Not only can you explore a menu featuring the diverse, rich ingredients of New Mexico, but you’ll also enjoy incredible views of the Tesuque Valley.
There’s an element of fire woven throughout the dining experience. This is evident in the bar, main dining room and terrace, where cedarwood logs are burned to evoke the scent of the surrounding landscape.
SkyFire serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily, along with brunch on weekends. It’s an excellent choice for larger gatherings, milestone celebrations or holiday parties.
One guest shared their experience, saying, “The atmosphere was terrific, and the service was great. Our server, David, was attentive and answered all our menu questions. We both had the chicken and shared a sweet potato. We left enough room for a churro dessert with ice cream and chocolate ganache. Everything was terrific.”
