Sandia, Arrowhead to host women's entrepreneurship conference

Sandia National Laboratories and the New Mexico State University Arrowhead Center are co-hosting the Women’s Entrepreneurship Conference this month. Registration closes Friday.

The event is on Nov. 17 at Isleta Resort & Casino from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The “WE (women entrepreneurs) Mean Business Conference 2023” will offer speakers and panels, training and networking opportunities for women entrepreneurs trying to grow or launch a business.

Keynote speakers will include LaNysha Adams, the award-winning author of Me Power and Founder of Edlinguist Solutions; Monica Jojola, the president of Montech Inc.; Vanessa Roanhorse, the founder of Roanhorse Consulting, an Indigenous-led think tank; and Kristelle Siarza, the founder of Siarza, a digital PR and advertising firm.

Panel discussions are titled “From Idea to Impact: NM women Startup Founder Share All” and “Funding Pathways for Women-Led Ventures.”

There will also be workships on topics such as finding balance and avoiding burnout, marketing failures and pitching to possible investors.
