Looking for some new, local craft beers to enjoy?

New Mexico has been home to commercial breweries since the 1800s, and today, there are dozens and dozens of craft breweries operating in the state.

Here’s a list of four highly-recommended craft breweries to try.

1. Ex Novo Brewing Company Corrales

Ex Novo offers guests a brewery, tap room, beer garden and food trucks in Corrales. This family-friendly space offers an outdoor space for games and fun, along with a dog-friendly patio. This is a lively space for conversation and good craft beer.

2. Lizard Tail Brewing Albuquerque

With three locations around Albuquerque, Lizard Tail offers customers a robust food menu alongside craft beers. Customers are particularly fond of their ciders (in multiple fruit flavors) and meads.

3. Lost Hiker Brewing Company Ruidoso Downs

Lost Hiker Brewing Co. is a family business, built from the ground up over many years of honing the craft of home brewing. They offer customers a cozy atmosphere with a fun environment in which to enjoy their craft beers (board games anyone?). Lovers of blonde beer may want to pay this brewery a special visit.

4. Turtle Mountain Brewing Company Rio Rancho

This award-winning brewpub gets its name from the Tewa name for Sandia Peak and is known for both their pizza and brews. With two locations on the northeast and southeast side of Rio Rancho, this local brewpub is a must-try.
