Thursday morning traffic update: Police activity cause road closures, crash in NE ABQ, lane closures on I-25
Police activity has closed the area of Trumbell Avenue and Pennsylvania SE, according to our media partners at KKOB Radio.
The station advises drivers avoid the area.
A crash eastbound on Paseo Del Norte near the Jefferson NE intersection is causing backups in the area
The station also reported a crash on northbound Louisiana Boulevard near Southern SE has been cleared.
The New Mexico Department of Transportation will be cleaning up a fuel spill incident starting at 9 a.m. on southbound Interstate 25 at La Bajada.
This will reduce traffic to one lane and take roughly five or six hours, a news release stated.
NMDOT advises drivers to expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible.
