3. 66 Diner

Hand-breaded chicken fried steak is a plentiful dish at 66 Diner. This whimsical, retro diner features traditional diner fare amid a vintage jukebox and soda fountain.

A customer review: “Route 66 is a classic diner with amazing food! I love the style of the diner, the decor, and the options on the menu. The portion sizes are large enough for any appetite. Today they seemed to be having trouble with the A/C so it was kind of hot, but the staff are very nice and the food is amazing. I ordered the chicken fried steak with salad and potato salad, and the teeny weeny sundae. There is parking all around the building though it can be difficult to maneuver in the lot with a larger vehicle.”

Hours: Open Sunday -Thursday 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Friday - Saturday 11 a.m. - 10 p.m.

Amazing food, awesome service, friendly atmosphere and even tho it was busy, our food came out fast and delicious! The staff knew their patrons and the patrons knew each other. It was a great experience! We will be coming back here again if we travel through Albq! The peach pie is a must. Homemade and so flaky! I had the chicken fried steak meal and was way better than 99% of the places we have been! Thanks, Eloy, our server who did a wonderful job!!”
