Phat Stak brings hip-hop, inventive burgers to Nob Hill An appetizer of jalapeño tater tots with a cup of red chile raspberry jam. Phat Stax owners call it the only hip-hop-themed restaurant in New Mexico. Posters, albums and figurines honoring rappers and hip-hop artists fill the dining room at Phat Stax. Phat Stax’s Cardi-BBQ, a chicken sandwich topped with an onion ring, cheese, bacon and barbecue sauce. Initially a food truck, Phat Stax opened its brick-and-mortar location in 2023. Phat Stax's dining room is decorated with hip-hop memorabilia like album covers and posters. The 2Pac Burger, Phat Stax's version of a double cheeseburger, served with a basket of fries. Phat Stax is located at Central Avenue and Tulane Drive SE in Nob Hill. Strawberry and chocolate shakes flank a glass of red Kool-Aid at Phat Stax. Phat Stax offers two hot dog choices, including the Doggy Dogg topped with chopped onions and served with fries.
