Skaters celebrate St. Patrick's Day at the St. Patty's Day Skate Jam

Sunday’s overcast skies and blustering winds is the type of weather you’d expect in Ireland, not Albuquerque. Despite the less than favorable weather conditions, skaters of all ages gathered at the North Domingo Baca Skate Park to participate in the city of Albuquerque’s St. Patty’s Day Skate Jam.

Skaters took turns performing tricks off ramps and jumping over traffic cones. Prizes like beanies and two custom St. Patrick’s Day skateboards were given out to winners of trick and long jump competitions.
