Brewin’ up a country storm: Country On-Tap has local country artists perform at Rio Bravo Brewing
Grab a cowboy hat and buckle up for Country On-Tap.
When Rio Bravo Brewery Company and ABQ-Live were thinking of what the city was lacking, the two came to the conclusion it was country music events. As a result, Country On-Tap, was born. The series runs from Friday, June 6, through Sept. 5.
“Country On-Tap formed from the love of country music in Albuquerque,” said Jennifer Baker, marketing director for Rio Bravo Brewing. “Unfortunately, there’s not too many places you can go out dancing, so we created this series.”
Rio Bravo Brewing decided their space would be perfect for dancing, and ABQ-Live organized a lineup of four local country music artists: Waylon Bailey Band, Austin Van and The Vanliners, Daniel Solis, and Ryan Painter and the Resistors.
“We’re not going to completely change to a country bar, but people wanted a place to go dance and listen to country music. And we hold a wide variety of events and have the space to do it, so why not have country be one of those events?” Baker said.
Guests can also enjoy dinner, a beer garden that serves 20 different brews and a 360 camera will be on-site.
Tickets are $10, plus fees, at riobravobrewing.com. Kids under 10 get in free.
