NEW COLLECTION
“UP from the Ashes WE RISE” is the title of a collection of mostly poetry with some prose recently published by Las Vegas Lit Press of Las Vegas, N.M. David Rogers, the press’ president, states in the book’s introduction that the volume was conceived in the wake of the 2022 Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon wildfire and subsequent flooding that devastated more than 300,000 acres in San Miguel and Mora counties. “After the fire and flood we knew there had to be some response from the arts community. We sent out a call to people impacted and to others who weren’t but wanted to share their thoughts on personal loss,” Rogers said.
Sharon Vander Meer and Edwina “Patti” Romero both founded the press. The new collection is available for purchase on the website lvlitnm.org, on amazon.com, and in Las Vegas at The Paper Trail Book and Gift Store, and at Rough Rider Antique Mall.
