Essential Overland Gear: Fancy dishrag makes cleanup easy with little water
I picked up the Lunatec dish cloth for free at an event and tossed it into my kitchen camping bag. A frying pan with sticky pancake residue on a recent trip made me remember it.
The 8x8-inch scrubbing square made quick work cleaning the dirty pan where a paper towel had failed. Lunatec says it is odor-free and retains less bacteria than a sponge. It rolled up nicely and earned its place in my kit.
Its loose weave allows food debris to rinse free, making cleanup easy. And in New Mexico’s dry climate, it dries immediately.
The dishcloth sells in a four-pack for $8.99 at lunatecgear.com, along with other recreation gear, including a portable bidet. It comes in three colors, but the fluorescent lime jumped out of my kitchen kit and begged to be used.
