Pecos High School students performed a benthic survey of the stream bed and found “many mayflies, caddis and stone flies, as well as many other insect species, indicating a very healthy stream,” Dan Muenzberg reported.

Streamflow on the Red River below the Red River Hatchery on Wednesday morning was 65.8 cfs. Fishing for rainbow trout was good using worms.
