Gilbert Chavez of Albuquerque caught a 21-inch rainbow trout at Charette Lakes using an orange Rooster Tail spinner on Oct. 17.
Shannon Hill of Eric, Oklahoma, caught an 18-inch rainbow trout at Eagle Nest Lake using Garlic PowerBait on Oct. 16.
Randy Garcia of Peñasco caught a 15-inch rainbow trout and an 11-inch brook trout at Embudo Creek using salmon eggs near the Rio Pueblo on Oct. 17.

Streamflow on the Rio Chama below El Vado Lake on Monday morning was 109 cfs; streamflow below Abiquiú Lake Monday morning was 979 cfs. Fishing for trout below El Vado Lake was fair to good using Rapala lures and spinners. Please remember, from the river-crossing bridge on U.S. Highway 84 at Abiquiú upstream 7 miles to the base of Abiquiú Dam is special trout waters with a bag limit of only two trout.
Fishing for white bass on the Rio Grande was fair to good using corn near Algodones. Fishing for catfish was fair to good using nightcrawler worms and chicken liver near Albuquerque.
