Author James C. Wilson will discuss and sign his new book “The Witchcraft Murders: A Fernando Lopez Santa Fe Mystery” from 1:30 p.m.-3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 1, at Treasure House Books & Gifts.

The mystery opens with the body of an unclothed woman found wrapped in sheets like a mummy outside the Cerrillos Hills State Park. Then a newspaper reporter who is looking into the killing turns up dead. The reporter’s widow, not trusting local police, asks private eye Fernando Lopez to figure out who killed her husband. Lopez soon finds himself drawn into a perilous web of witches, anthropologists and murder.
Wilson is an Albuquerque resident.

AT BOOKWORKS
Sara Daniele Rivera will talk about and sign copies of her new book of poetry, “The Blue Mimes,” at 6 p.m. Friday, May 31, at Bookworks.
The book is the recipient of the 2023 Academy of American Poets’ First Book Award. Rivera, an Albuquerque resident, is a Cuban/Peruvian/American writer, artist, translator and educator.
