“Regretting You” will be available for rent or purchase on digital platforms beginning Tuesday, Nov. 25. It will stream on Paramount+ on Dec. 25. Yue can also be seen on the ABC series “Will Trent,” which streams on Hulu. The fourth season of “Will Trent” premieres on Jan. 6.

Whether it’s TV or a movie, Kurt Yue enjoys being on set — and he also enjoys not being there.

“As an actor, there’s no better place than being on set creating something magical,” he says. “On the flip side, I really enjoy hikes and walks with my dogs. I do like to stay busy.”

One of his latest projects, “Regretting You,” will be available for rental and purchase on digital platforms on Tuesday, Nov. 25, and available to stream Dec. 25 on Paramount+.

“Regretting You” is based on the bestselling novel by Colleen Hoover and centers on the relationship between young mother Morgan Grant, played by Allison Williams, and her teenage daughter Clara, played by McKenna Grace.

After the death of Morgan’s husband Chris, played by Scott Eastwood, the two are forced to traverse life’s challenges together.

In the film, Yue portrays the family’s doctor assigned to help the characters navigate their options after the life-changing event.

When the script for the project came to him, Yue says he wanted in on it.

“When I first saw the name of the project and the breakdown,” he says. “It was a no-brainer. These are the same people who did ‘The Fault in Our Stars.’ Then I saw Allison Williams and Dave Franco were attached to it. It’s been an incredible journey.”

As Yue studied the role, he realized that he would be on-screen during a pivotal point in the movie.

“It’s been the coolest thing,” he says. “As actors, we have to bring our best each time we are in front of the camera. I feel that everyone in the film did an exceptional job in bringing the project to life.”

Yue can also be seen in the ABC series “Will Trent,” where he plays Pete Chin.

According to ABC, the award-winning crime drama focuses on a Georgia Bureau of Investigations special agent, Will Trent, who uses his unique perspective to solve crimes, partly driven by a harsh upbringing in Atlanta’s foster care system after being abandoned at birth.

The show, based on Karin Slaughter’s books, has continued to grow its fan base and will return with season four on Jan. 6, 2026.

“I’ve been lucky to find steady work,” he says. “Because of streaming, most shows don’t get a chance to be successful by building. With ‘Will Trent,’ I think ABC has seen its potential and has let it get a proper chance. The series is intriguing and such a joy to be a part of. It’s thrilling to be back on set, gearing up for the fourth season.”

Yue has been acting for just shy of 20 years. During that time, he’s managed to forge his own path.

Prior to acting, Yue was a software developer.

Today, he runs the Acting Career Center, where he helps new actors avoid the pitfalls of the industry.

“When I moved to Atlanta and rebranded my business, I wanted to continue to teach and help anyone getting into the industry,” he says. “I had a unique path as I was a software developer first. I did a complete 180 change. What people have to realize is that there’s not one way into the industry. Through my job, I’ve also been able to connect with actors in New Mexico, and they’ve shared with me their experiences.”
