Performance Santa Fe kicks off its 'Festival of Song'

Performance Santa Fe is hosting its 10th anniversary “Festival of Song,” summer recital series starring Santa Fe Opera singers.

The series opens at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at the Scottish Rite Temple, 463 Paseo De Peralta with baritone Huw Montague Rendall and mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey, the leads of the Santa Fe Opera’s “Pelléas et Mélisande.”

Soprano Ailyn Pérez joins tenor Robert Watson at 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 6. The two artists will appear in the Santa Fe Opera’s 2023 production of Antonín Dvorák’s “Rusalka” as Rusalka and The Prince.

The festival closes 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, with Lauren Snouffer and Rolando Villazón. Snouffer, a soprano on the international stage, plays La Musica, with tenor Villazón as Orfeo, in the Santa Fe Opera production of “Orfeo.”
