Pride After Dark Brings GRAMMY Winner Tracy Young to Meow Wolf Santa Fe
The immersive arts venue Meow Wolf in Santa Fe will transform into a dance floor on Saturday, June 28, as it hosts Pride After Dark, a 21-and-over celebration featuring Grammy-winning DJ and producer Tracy Young.
The event, running from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., represents a collaboration between Meow Wolf and the Human Rights Alliance, continuing their ongoing partnership.
“We have collaborated on things many times in the past — they are a great partner,” Kevin Bowen, of the Human Rights Alliance, said.
Young, who made history as the first woman to win a Grammy in the Best Remixed Recording category for her remix of Madonna’s “I Rise,” brings formidable credentials to the Santa Fe stage. The producer, remixer, DJ, composer and owner of Ferosh Records has amassed over 60 No. 1 hits on the U.S. Billboard Dance Club Chart since 2000, with official remixes for more than 100 artists.
Young has since completed 14 remix projects for Madonna, including versions of “Music,” “Hung Up” and “4 Minutes.” Their collaboration on “I Rise” earned a Grammy at the 62nd annual awards in 2020, marking Young as the first woman to win in the Best Remixed Recording category since its inception in 1998. She received a second nomination in the same category in 2021 for her work on k.d. lang’s “Constant Craving.”
Her remix portfolio reads like a who’s who of pop music: Beyoncé, Stevie Nicks, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears and dozens more.
The evening will blend Meow Wolf’s signature surreal aesthetic with the celebratory energy of Pride. Go-go dancers will perform alongside Young’s set, while attendees can explore the venue’s acclaimed “House of Eternal Return” exhibit space. Attendees who want time to explore Meow Wolf can purchase a $20 add-on and spend two hours before the event visiting the exhibit.
The live music will span different genres, incorporating dance, hip-hop and specialized mixes to keep the energy high throughout the five-hour celebration. The event’s format allows for dancing and exploring the art installations, creating a fusion of nightlife and the classic Meow Wolf experience.
Bowen characterized the spirit of the celebration as “joyful, Pride-full and fun.”
