Ross Van Dusen will sign copies of his children’s books at Treasure House Books & Gifts

Treasure House Books & Gifts hosts two upcoming author events.
From 1 p.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, May 12, Albuquerque’s Ross Van Dusen will sign copies of his children’s books, including “The Best Day Ever!” and his memoir “I Thought My Name Was Butch.”
On Saturday, May 18, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., Robert D. Kidera will read from and sign “Burn Scars,” his sixth Gabe McKenna mystery. Kidera is an Albuquerque resident.
Treasure House is located at 2012 South Plaza St. NW in Old Town.

IN TAOS
Miguel Santistevan, the poet laureate of Taos, and Tommy Archuleta, the poet laureate of Santa Fe, will read from their work at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at SOMOS Salon, 108 Civic Plaza in Taos.
Santistevan is using his position as guest lecturer in the Taos public schools and at other venues to recruit young people to submit their poetry, artwork and photography for a DIY zine.
Archuleta’s poetry is in his full-length debut collection titled “Susto.” He works as a mental health therapist for the New Mexico Corrections Department.
