Sarah Kotchian to read from 'Light of Wings' on June 16

Sarah Kotchian will read from and sign copies of her poetry collection “Light of Wings” from 1:30 p.m. -3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Treasure House Books & Gifts. The poems explore humanity’s deep connections to the natural world.

Collected Works hosts two authors this week.
At 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, Lyzette Wanzer will talk about her book “Trauma, Tresses & Truth: Entangling Our Hair Through Personal Narratives.” She is in residence at the Santa Fe Art Institute.
Steven L. Herman will discuss his book “Behind the White House Curtain: A Senior Journalist’s Story Covering the President — and Why It Matters,” at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 20. Herman will be in conversation with Jim Falk of Global Santa Fe.

AT TEATRO PARAGUAS
Prize-winning poet and author Jane Lipman reads from her new book of haiku, “In Every Peach the Taste of Thunder” at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Teatro Paraguas. The reading will be accompanied by Gary Lund’s whimsical drawings.

Scott Graham and Kase Johnstun will share the stage and discuss their new novels at Garcia Street Books at 376 Garcia St., Santa Fe at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 18. FINAL INSTALLMENT PUBLISHED
“Mirrored Heavens,” the third installment of Rebecca Roanhorse’s “Between Earth and Sky” trilogy, was released June 4. The interwoven destinies of the people of Meridian are finally determined in this conclusion. Roanhorse’s science fiction novels and short stories have featured Navajo characters. She is a winner of the Nebula Award for best short story. Roanhorse lives with her family in northern New Mexico.
