Art class
The Albuquerque Public School Fine Arts Department is sponsoring the Metro Youth Art Exhibit. The show features over 1,200 works of art by APS middle and high school students. The show runs through April 23 — 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday-Friday, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, and Saturday, April 12 — at the APS Berna Facio Professional Development Complex, 3115 Louisiana Blvd. NE. The show is free to the public.

The Albuquerque Astronomical Society is hosting a Star Party from 6-10 p.m. Saturday, April 5, at the Placitas Community Library. The event will start with solar observing transitioning into night observing, with a Spring Fab Fifty presentation. The library is located at 453 New Mexico Highway 165, Placitas.
Spring cleaning
The Historic Fairview Cemetery is holding a Cleanup Day from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 5. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools and gloves. The cemetery is located at 7000 Yale Blvd. SE.
Making it up
Indy 505, an independent improv showcase, takes the stage at The Box Performance Space at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 5. Three teams will bring unique comedic styles to life. The event is pay what you can, with a suggested donation of $5-$10 at holdmyticket.com. The Box is located at 100 Gold Ave. SW #112.
String theory
Carmelo de los Santos is bringing his “Violin Wizardry!” to the Muñoz Waxman Gallery at Center for Contemporary Arts at 2 p.m. Sunday, April 6. The event is free with registration at holdmyticket.com. The CCA is located at 1050 Old Pecos Trail, Santa Fe. De los Santos will also perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 4, at Robertson & Sons Violin Shop, 3201 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Tickets are $10-$25, plus fees, at holdmyticket.com.
The Segall has landed
Ty Segall will deliver a solo acoustic performance at the KiMo Theatre at 7 p.m. Friday, April 4. Tickets are $32 at artsandculture.cabq.gov. The KiMo is located at 423 Central Ave. NW.
On track
Learn to track wildlife with master naturalist Michael Cox at 8 a.m. Saturday, April 5. The event is open to youth and adults to learn about tracking wildlife in the bosque. The Open Space Visitor Center is located at 6500 Coors Blvd. NW.
