The New Mexico State University Aggies are gearing up for their first showing at the Isleta New Mexico Bowl. So whether you have team spirit, holiday spirit or a giving spirit, here are seven events for this weekend.

1All aglow

The Valle de Oro National Wildlife Refuge and The Albuquerque Astronomical Society will cohost the Valle de Oro Visitor Center Luminaria Lighting and the TAAS Star Party from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15.

TAAS will provide the telescopes of varied types and sizes to show off the New Mexico skies, and luminarias will be aglow at the visitor’s center, 7851 Second St. SW.

2Feeling Humble

Humble Coffee is hosting its 9th annual holiday market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16.

The market will feature over 100 artisans and makers, along with food trucks, music and more. Entry to the market is $5 which will go to support local charities Saranam and Cuidando Los Niños. The holiday market will be located at 4200 Lomas Ave. NE.

3Sounds of the season

The Santa Fe Women’s Ensemble is bringing “Winter Lights” holiday concert to the First Presbyterian Church, 208 Grant Ave., Santa Fe, at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, and Sunday, Dec. 17. Tickets are $30 in advance at sfwe.org, and $35 at the door. Student, teacher, military and veteran tickets are $12.

4A polar express

The Wheels Museum is holding a Christmas party from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16. Visitors can enjoy train rides around the exhibits, cookie decorating, a scavenger hunt and more. Admission is free. The museum is located at 1100 Second St. SW.

5Trail of Lights’

Catch the farolitos on foot with the New Mexico Farolito “Trail of Lights” 5K. Run or walk past 2,500 farolitos on Saturday, Dec. 16. The Twilight Kids K takes off at 5:15 p.m., with the 5K setting off at 5:30 p.m., from Southwestern Indian Polytechnic Institute, 9169 Coors Road NW. Registration is $22 to $45 at irunfit.org, with prices increasing race day.

6Gone bowling

They’ll win this game or know the reason why! Watch the New Mexico State Aggies take on the Fresno State Bulldogs at the Isleta New Mexico Bowl. Kickoff is set for 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, at University Stadium, 1111 University Blvd. SE. Tickets start at $25, plus fees, at newmexicobowl.com.

7They’ve got the beat

“DRUMLine Live! Holiday Spectacular” is coming to Popejoy Hall, 203 Cornell Drive NE, at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 17. The concert mixes holiday favorites with the show-stopping performance of a Historically Black College and University marching band. Tickets are $25-$75, plus fees, at popejoypresents.evenue.net.
