2 dead in separate overnight shooting incidents across Albuquerque
Two people were shot to death on the West Side on Monday night, according to the Albuquerque Police Department.
The first incident took place shortly before 9 p.m. near the intersection of Coors and Central NW where officers discovered an individual who died of apparent gunshot wounds, said APD spokesman Daren DeAguero in a statement.
He said the investigation is still ongoing.
The second incident took place just after 1 a.m. near the intersection of 12th and Griegos NW. There, officers discovered one individual who had been shot to death, said APD spokesman Chase Jewell in a statement.
Jewell said a suspect has been detained, but the investigation remains ongoing.
