As partygoers rang in the New Year across the city, two sets of parents welcomed new life. Forty five minutes past midnight, a mother gave birth to the first baby of the new year at Presbyterian Hospital, according to a news release.
While parents, Ariana Flores and Jesus Gutierrez of Belen, held their daughter, Arraya Gutierrez, for the first time, across the river another 2025 newborn was on the way.
At the Presbyterian Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, just ten minutes after the first baby of the year, came Sophie Agnir, born to Tabitha Agnir and Rodolfo Gutierrez.
