Police are investigating after a man was killed after being shot in southeast Albuquerque.

Albuquerque Police said officers were dispatched to the 6300 block of Central Avenue around 8:30 a.m. after a man said he had been shot.

The man was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injuries. Police did not immediately release any other details.
