APS students' art wows at the Albuquerque Public Schools Metro Youth Art Exhibit

The halls of the Albuquerque Public Schools Berna Facio Professional Development Complex were packed Thursday with hundreds of people admiring the artwork of middle and high school students during the APS Metro Youth Art Exhibit.
Gray canvases were spread across the complex, each seemingly covered in the students' artwork. From drawings to photos to jewelry and sculptures, there was something eye-catching around every corner.
In addition to the exhibit, students were recognized for their work during an awards ceremony in the main meeting room. Incoming district Superintendent Gabriella Blakey handed out several awards and congratulated the students on their success.
