The New Mexico Ice Wolves defeated NA3HL division rival Texas Brahmas in front of students from three different schools on Monday, part of the organizations third annual school matinee.

The Ice Wolves (12-2) defeated the Brahmas in a shootout, 3-2, handing Texas (14-1) their first loss of the season.

Students from Alvarado and Corrales elementaries and the Garfield STEM Magnet & Community Middle School spent much of the game on their feet, faces pressed against the glass.

The Ice Wolves are planning to host two additional school-day games this season at The Outpost Ice Arenas, with one taking place later this month and another in February.
