The Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information about the fatal shooting of a 25-year-old man in Southwest Albuquerque.

Around 10:30 a.m. Monday, deputies found a body — later identified as Bryan Duran — on Douglas and Maplewood SW, west of Coors.

BCSO spokesperson Jayme Gonzales said Duran had “at least one gunshot wound.”

“As our detectives continue to diligently work the scene, collecting evidence and information, we are committed to conducting a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding Mr. Duran’s death,” she added.

Gonzales said details being released are limited due to the investigation.

“We anticipate releasing more information as the investigation allows and as further facts are verified,” she said.

Gonzales said anyone with information on the case can call Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers at 505-834-STOP (7867).
