Bosque Farms fire at 10% containment

A bosque fire that started Thursday afternoon in Valencia County and forced evacuations was 10% contained Friday morning.
An estimated 60 acres have burned in and around Bosque Farms, down from the initial Thursday estimate of 150 acres, according to state Forestry Division spokesperson George Ducker.
He said the cause of fire is still under investigation.
Crews are working to secure a containment line to limit the spread of interior heat, Ducker said. Friday morning winds were calm, he said, and precipitation is expected in the evening.
Winds are expected to pick up in the afternoon, he added.
"Residents in the area should stay cautious, be aware of their surroundings and kind of keep an eye on their backyard," Ducker said.
