A June hit-and-run victim may have been seriously injured or dead before being hit, Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers said in a social media post Tuesday.

On June 16, Jeneva Salazar, 35, was found dead after being struck by a vehicle at Harper Drive and Harper Place. It is believed that a dark two-door sedan with a front license plate was involved, according to Crime Stoppers.

"Jeneva has a family that loves her and wants answers," Salazar's mother Cynthia Madrid wrote in a letter to the Journal in July.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers, anonymously at (505) 843-STOP (7867), p3tips.com/531 or text “ABQCS” to 738477.
