Crime Stoppers seeks info on 2022 shooting death of man in NE ABQ

Albuquerque Metro Crime Stoppers is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information on the May 2022 shooting death of Daniel Venhuizen in Northeast Albuquerque.

There are no suspects and “any assistance with this case would be greatly appreciated,” according to a Crime Stoppers social media post.

On May 7, 2022, the Albuquerque Police Department responded to a call of a shooting in the 8600 block of Central, near Wyoming.

When officers arrived, they found Venhuizen with a gunshot wound to the forearm and torso, according to Crime Stoppers. He was later taken to a local hospital where he died, police said.

Police have learned Venhuizen was in the 7900 block of Bell before arriving at Circle K with the gunshot wound, Crime Stoppers said.
