Driver seriously injured in crash with Albuquerque police officer

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a crash involving an officer that resulted in serious injuries to an unidentified man in Southwest Albuquerque Monday evening, APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said.
At 6:39 p.m., an officer was responding to a crash at 98th and Interstate 40 when they rammed into a white sedan driven by a 25-year-old man on Snow Vista near Sage, he said.
The officer was taken to a local hospital for minor injuries, Gallegos said.
The incident remains under investigation, he said.
