Farmington police identify teens fatally shot in Sunday morning double homicide
A double homicide in southeast Farmington during the early hours of Sunday morning claimed the lives of a 15-year-old and a 19-year-old.
Lamar White, 15, and Jesse Hensley, 19, were pronounced deceased after being taken to the hospital, according to the Farmington Police Department.
Officers were dispatched at 1:54 a.m. East Murray Drive (U.S. 64) and Camina Entrada. Three people had been shot and all of them were taken to San Juan Regional Medical Center, according to police. The name and condition of the third person who was shot has not been released.
“Preliminary investigation indicates the individuals involved were known to one another, and this incident does not appear to be a random act of violence,” a news release said.
“Detectives have interviewed the primary persons of interest, but no arrests have been made to date,” Shanice Gonzales, the police department’s spokesperson, said in an email.
She added that it is believed that at least two people discharged a firearm.
