Firefighters rescue cat from car engine
An Albuquerque firefighter works to rescue a cat named Kayden from inside a Toyota Corolla on Thursday.
A cat got stuck near a car engine but was able to meow about the experience later on.
On Thursday, Albuquerque Fire Rescue responded to a call for an animal rescue outside the Silverado Apartments, in the 5700 block of Osuna, near San Mateo.
When firefighters arrived, they found Kayden stuck in a car's engine compartment between the firewall and engine, according to an AFR social media post. Firefighters worked from the top and bottom of the car to free the feline.
"Kayden retained all nine lives and the Toyota Corolla was not damaged in the process," the post states.
