Here's how to get married in Albuquerque this Valentine's Day in three steps
Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover, center, officiates a Valentine's Day wedding at her office in Downtown Albuquerque in 2019.
The Bernalillo County Clerk's Office is offering free weddings this Valentine's Day.
“I am thrilled to be a part of such a joyous occasion for couples in our community. Love is a beautiful thing, and I'm honored to play a role in bringing people together,” County Clerk Linda Stover said in a statement.
The Bernalillo Metropolitan Court will also be performing wedding ceremonies that day.
Here are the three steps to get married on Valentine's Day.
Step 1
Obtain your marriage license, which can be purchased for $25 cash or credit at the Bernalillo County Clerk's office at 415 Silver SW. Both parties must attend to sign for the license and bring two forms of identification, such as a driver's license and social security card.
Step 2
Reserve your spot between 9 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. by calling 505-250-0904. Spots are limited and filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Step 3
Bring two witnesses. If you don't have anyone in your life who can act as a witness, the Clerk's Office will provide two witnesses.
