In-service day: PNM employees volunteer across New Mexico
On Thursday, more than 430 Public Service Company of New Mexico employees from across the state participated in the company’s annual Day of Service.
Employees supported and volunteered at 32 nonprofits that engage in a variety of missions to support the community.
In Albuquerque, PNM employees volunteered with the Rio Grande Food Project, Pollinators in the Neighborhood, Seed 2 Harvest and Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.
“PNM is excited to enable our employees to follow their passions and help out in the communities we serve,” Don Tarry, PNM president and CEO, said in a news release. “Whether it’s education, preserving and enhancing our environment, PNM employees will be out in force to make a difference.”
In addition to their day of service, PNM and its foundation, the PNM Resources Foundation, will contribute more than $4 million to nonprofit community organizations around the state.
