News radio station KKOB is debuting a new call-in talk show, "The Doctor Is In," to help address listeners' medical concerns, according to a news release Tuesday.

Hosted by Dr. Greg Sherr, a board-certified neurosurgeon with over 20 years of clinical experience, the hourlong show will run every other Saturday starting June 14 from 1-2 p.m.

The release states that Dr. Sherr, who has a background in stroke care, critical neural conditions and chronic pain, will take time in each episode to respond to questions from listeners live.

“Every caller will hear real talk from a real doctor,” Dr.Sherr said in the release. “Whether it’s a pressing medical concern or general health guidance, I want listeners to hang up feeling informed — and empowered to take action.”

With his history of neurology, Dr. Sherr will be able to provide insight on topics such as brain trauma, public health updates and the latest developments in neurosurgery, among other health-related questions, according to the release.

"Our goal with ‘The Doctor Is In’ is straightforward,” KKOB Program Director Aaron Burnett said in the release. “We want to empower our community—our listeners—to ask a real doctor their real questions. No hype, no filter — just truthful, practical medical answers.”

KKOB radio and KOAT TV are “Partners for Impact“ with the Albuquerque Journal.
