Man dead after fatal shooting in Northeast Albuquerque

The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating the shooting death of a man inside a parking lot in Northeast Albuquerque early Sunday.
At around 1:35 a.m., APD responded to a call of a shooting in the area of San Pedro and Marquette NE.
After officers arrived, they found a man in a parking lot with a gunshot wound. They attempted life-saving measures, but the man died at the scene, APD spokesperson Gilbert Gallegos said in a news release Sunday morning.
"Homicide detectives were called to the scene to start an investigation," Gallegos said.
