The Albuquerque Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting and crash in Northeast Albuquerque on Wednesday.

At about 3 p.m., a shooting was reported near San Mateo and Lomas, APD spokesperson Franchesca Perdue said in a news release.

When officers arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound before going to the scene of a nearby crash "that appears to be related to the shooting," Perdue said.
