The New Mexico State Police is looking for a person who allegedly struck a patrol vehicle during a pursuit near Santa Fe on Sunday.

Police did not provide a description of the driver or vehicle.

At about 11:50 a.m., officers were helping U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs with a traffic stop on Interstate 25, near the Santo Domingo Pueblo exit, when the driver drove off, New Mexico State Police spokesperson Wilson Silver said in an email.

During the pursuit, a police vehicle rolled over near Avenida del Sur and N.M. 14, south of Santa Fe. The officer was taken to a local hospital with “what appear(s) to be non-life-threatening injuries,” Silver said.

Another police vehicle sustained minor damage, but no other injuries were reported, he said.

Silver said the suspect's vehicle has not been located. A BOLO — or "be on the lookout" — has been issued.
